Crucifix

During construction, a basswood tree had to be removed to make way for a sidewalk. The tree was cut down and the wood was sent to Weberding's Carving Shop located in Batesville, Indiana. The skilled craftsmen at the shop then used the wood to create the crucifix that you see here.

The crucifix easily lifts up and off the cross. It often leads our processionals and then is placed on the cross.
